As per box-office reports, ‘Aarakshan’ has managed to collect Rs. 25 crore in four days.
Apparently, the film fared well on Independence Day and minted around 6 crore.
"'Aarakshan' is our film only. We are all together. I share long and good relations with Prakashji. If we can help each other and support each other what could be better than that?," stated the ‘Singham’ cop.
The ‘Gangaajal’ actor even said that there is no provoking content in ‘Aarakshan’, and only when audiences will see it, they will come to know about it.
"I think there is nothing objectionable in the film. When people will see it, they would realise that there is nothing controversial," Ajay told reporters.
The movie would supposedly claw out a message on the mushrooming commercialization of education in our country.
During the conversation with the tabloid, Deepika voiced that though ‘Aarakshan’ is a film which revolves around a sensitive social issue, reservation, one can’t draw a conclusion whether the film depicts the issue in a positive way or negative way without seeing the film.
She said, “Since it is such a sensitive issue, I am not surprised that certain people have certain issues with the film. Having said that, being a part of the film, I believe it is unfair for people to react at a stage when they haven't seen the film.
Apparently, Amitabh’s appreciation of Bihar and its chief minister, Nitish Kumar, during the promotion of the film in Patna seems to have not gone too well with Lalu. The RJD chief took out his grudge on the legendary actor by stating that Amitabh is the one actor he dislikes the most.
Talking about Mr. Bachchan, Lalu, as quoted in TOI, said, "Woh mera sabse na pasand kalakar hai (He is one actor I dislike the most)."
The soon to be grand dad who is glowing with happiness didn’t give much details and stated that "he’s not the one who is pregnant."
Reportedly, the ‘Aarakshan’ star Amitabh, who plays the role of a principled college principal in the flick, while promoting the film in Patna on Wednesday, stated that every national should be treated equally, but at the same time, underprivileged should be helped.
The megastar further stated that reservation is a constitutional reality in India and we need to accept it.
Big B told TOI, "Every citizen should get equal attention and opportunity. Those hailing from humble background should be provided due prop."
As per megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a key role in the film, the U.P. administration is of the opinion that as ‘Aarakshan’ deals with reservations, which is a very sensitive social issue, its promotion may have an ill-effect on the law and order of the city.
Talking about being barred from promoting the film in Lucknow, a disheartened Big B tweeted, “Feel disappointed that we are not allowed to promote film in UP Lucknow...admin feels will excite and cause law and order problem."
As her forthcoming film ‘Aarakshan’ focuses on the sensitive issue of caste-based reservation in educational institutions, Deepika, when asked for her stance on reservation, stated that she is neither for nor against it.
Citing the reason why she cannot declare that reservation is good or bad, the bombshell said that after working in a film like ‘Aarakshan’, which is based on reservation, she has now learned that the issue has its own merits and demerits.
Thus, choosing to stand for or against it is really tough to decide.
