Mumbai, January 30 -- Based on a remarkable true story, biopic “Blind Side” is about a dirt-poor, virtually homeless Memphis teen named Michael Oher (played by Quinton Aaron), who gets informally adopted by a well-heeled white couple, Leigh Anne Tuohy (played by Sandra Bullock) and Sean Tuohy (played by Tim McGraw).
Michael is raised with the couple's two children.
The story
Bullock, who plays Anne, is an affluent interior decorator. In the movie, Anne along with husband Sean faces hindrances and discrimination over their inter-racial family.
However, Anne enrolls the teen at her childrens' parochial school. Michael, who has a real flair for football begins to excel on the football field.
Anne thus fosters him and helps him overcome his academic problems. He wins an Ole Miss Football scholarship and the NFL in the end.
This not only helps him realize his potential but also helps him find inspiration in life.
Good heart tugging film
“Blind side”, is a feel good heart-tugging film. With no racially denigrating attitudes the film has spades of sentiments with sniveling epiphanies.
Sandra Bullock shows a sense of maturity and responsibility in bringing up of a homeless high-schooler and uplifts him with confidence.
The actress comes across as a diligent, republican Christian woman epitomizing that charity truly begins at home.
The director John Lee Hancock has filled the movie with hearty humor and clear-cut ways.
