The ladies loved him in ‘Saathiya’ and dubbed him the new chocolate boy of bollywood. Arriving with a lot of promise, he has entranced his audience with wonderful performances and his charming personality.
One of the most eligible bachelors and soon to be a married man, Vivek Oberoi was born on Sept. 3, 1976 in Hyderabad. Born to the renowned actor Suresh Oberoi and his wife Yashodara Oberoi, Vivek had the traits of being an actor right from the beginning and has proved his mettle in the industry by doing many versatile role ranging from romance, comedy to gangster movies.
Vivek Oberoi attended the Mayo College in Ajmer and completed his Masters degree in film acting from New York. Before acting, he worked as a scriptwriter and bought his first car with the money he earned from it.
Apart from being a successful actor, Vivek Oberoi is a social activist and the spokesperson for World Health Organization anti-tobacco drive. He is involved in many projects with several NGOs in Chennai and Mumbai.
Vivek received the Good Samaritan Award from Rotary International for his work with project, hope to help the victims of the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004. His family has also set up a Yashodara Oberoi Foundation to help those in need.
