People who were in their youths during the days of 1973 might be well acquainted with the Bollywood movie ‘Bobby’. Well, most of the people’s notion was that it might as well be just another Hindi movie, but little did they knew that a gorgeous girl named Dimple Kapadia and a charismatic, handsome young man with striking features were about to make their historic debut in Bollywood. You might have guessed it right. It was none other than our very own Rishi Kapoor also known as Chintu.
The graceful star was born on the Sept. 4, 1952. When all the movies up till 1973 seemed to be monotonous, his debut movie set the trend that all the movies that were released later seemed to have followed. As a matter of fact, acting was running all through his blood since his grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor was a pioneer of the Hindi film industry and his father Raj Kapoor was a renowned film maker.
Rishi tied the knot with Neetu Singh in 1980 and were blessed with a son and a daughter. His son Ranbir is one of the most gifted actors at present. As time moved on, so did he and started appearing in supporting roles and was applauded widely. He then stepped onto production side.
His film ‘Chintuji’ raised talks among people that as the movie portrayed him stepping into politics, he might step into politics in his real life too. But Rishi just shrugged off those rumors raised against his name in a tidy manner.
Rishi is paired alongside his spouse Neetu, after 30 years, for Walt Disney’s first Hindi movie titled, ‘Do Dooni Chaar’.
