Born on Sept. 28, 1982, this 'Saawariya' is no Anjaana to anyone. The heartthrob of millions of girls around the world, Ranbir Kapoor is one of the leading actors of the Bollywood Industry today.

He is the son of the famous Bollywood couple Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor, and comes from a family of legendary actors like his grand father Raj Kapoor and his great Grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor studied at the Bombay Scottish School and later, went on to pursue method acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.

Firm about his decision of becoming an actor, he kicked- off his career in the industry as an assistant with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the making of 'Black'. This is the time when he met Sonam Kapoor and both were cast together by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for their debut in 'Saawariya'.

Although the film did not do well commercially, Ranbir’s performance was appreciated and he was given the Filmfare debut award. Since then, Ranbir’s next ventures have been hits, lauding applause from critics and audience.

Famously known as ladies man, Ranbir Kapoor has been rumored to have dated many actresses but the only one publicly acknowledged by him has been Deepika Padukone.
