Biography

Born on Oct. 18, 1976 in Mumbai, Kunal Kapoor is a Bollywood actor and has also worked as an assistant director in few movies.
With construction business as a family background, Kunal never really aspired of making it to the tinsel town.
He changed 30 different professions in 5 years after finishing his college. Kunal began his showbiz career working as an assistant director for Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Aks’ and his acting career began when he started receiving training from Barry John, the theatre legend.
His advent in theatrical acting earned him ads for popular brands like Indian Terrain and Thumbs Up.
Kunal shot into fame with his portrayal of the character Aslam in the Oscar nominated movie ‘Rang De Basanti’. He was nominated under the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor category.
Kunal’s other movies like ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’ and ‘Aaja Nachle’ were box-office duds.
He performed cameo in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and has even lent his voice for the Indian god Rama in the mythological animated movie ‘Mahayoddha Rama’, an adaptation of the epic novel Ramayana.
Kunal has earned skydiving qualifications and is taking flying lessons lately.
