The new logo had been designed by Sophie Lutman of lambie-nairn agency.
Present at the unveiling of the new logo for the KKR were co-owners Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta and KKR CEO & MD, Venky Mysore.
During the media interaction, Shahrukh even joked about the new tagline for the marketing campaign.
Talking about the new logo, the Bollywood Badshah stated, “The golden color was because I like gold and the black has been changed because I was told that it was not lucky. And last year since we couldn't make it to the last four I can't even argue with it.”
Elaborating on the makeover for KKR and about the new logo, Sophie stated, “ The KKR identity had a lot of equity but it was not designed for use across the wide range of platforms that are used today. We wanted to retain the existing heraldic imagery and purple and gold colours, as these features differentiate the team from competitors and ensure they are instantly recognisable. However, we needed to refine the logo and ensure that it would work across every touch point from the screen to merchandising.”
Shahrukh surprised Juhi by coming on time
SRK who never comes on time for any events surprised his long time friend Juhi Chawla by turning up early.
Speaking at the unveiling of the new KKR logo, Juhi said, “I was so sure that it was Shah Rukh so the event is not going to start on time. They told me that the conference was going to start at 5 and I was like there's no way that SRK is going to be on time. So I took it easy. I was still at home and I was just about to leave and I get a call that Shah Rukh is here today at 4.30 p.m."
