‘Speedy Singhs’, a light-hearted cross cultural drama that has the Canadian national sport Ice Hockey in the backdrop, features Anupam Kher, Russell Peters, Rob Lowe and Camilla Belle, and Vinay Virmani, who plays the lead.
Vinay Virmani, who is making his foray into Bollywood with this film, is thankful l to Akshay for providing support.
“Im very lucky to have Akshay uncle's support. He's a role model. But more than that he is someone who understands Hindi commercial cinema. That's where I want to be,” stated the debutant.

The actor, who is looking forward to spending his years in Bollywood, is already in love with the industry.
Vinay seems to be astounded with the kind of love he has been getting in the industry and the kind of welcome he has received.
“I'm completely bowled over by how welcome I've been made to feel in Bollywood and India. Whether it's Akshay Uncle, who's family, or Harbhajan Singh, they've been very supportive and have gone out of their way to support me,” said Vinay.
Akshay visits Golden Temple
It’s reported that Akshay took a break from his busy schedule and had tagged along with Vinay’s family when they visited the Golden Temple to seek blessings for his upcoming venture ‘Speedy Singhs’.
Akshay, who has co-produced this comedy-sports drama, has apparently done a special appearance in the film.
Speaking to reporters, Akshay revealed that the film will appeal to youngsters and admitted that he has decided to co-produce it as he was thoroughly impressed with the story.
His films has been quite successful in his homeland and the actor, whose portrayal of a Sikh has always been liked by audiences, as was seen in ‘Singh is King’, stated that he would love to work in a Punjabi film.
“I would love to work in a Punjabi film and want to contribute to the Punjabi film industry….” said the actor.
