I don’t believe in being stick-thin—Sonakshi
The actress, who will be seen doing her first item number in ‘Joker’, recently rubbished the rumors that the film’s director Shirish Kunder has asked her to shed some kilos for the item song in the film.
The ‘Dabangg’ girl stated she takes care of her figure and does everything possible to stay in shape, however, she doesn’t wish to be very skinny.
While talking to a daily, Sinha said, “I work hard to maintain myself and always try to look better. But I don’t believe in going to an extreme or being stick-thin.”
“Also if I have been accepted for the way I look, why would I do anything to change it? There is pressure from a lot of people, but that’s not what my audience wants. I’m happy with the way I look,” added the babe.
Minissha Lamba insecure about Sonakshi’s item number
Scuttlebutt has it that actress Minissha Lamba, who will be sharing screen space with Sonakshi Sinha in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’, is insecure about her co-actress’s item number in the film.
Lamba is afraid that Sonakshi might steal the limelight with her item track and thus, she too wanted to be a part of the song and dance sequence.
However, things didn’t work in her favor, as apparently the director felt that her character in the film was not apt for the item song.
But, rumors have it that it was Sonakshi who didn’t want Minissha to be a part of her item number and as such, she had requested the filmmakers not to include her co-actress in it.
Sonakshi’s upcoming films
After wining hearts with her debut film ‘Dabangg’, Sonakshi is now gearing up with some more films.
Besides ‘Joker’, the other upcoming Sonakshi Sinha-starrer projects include, ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Race 2’, ‘Kick’ and ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’.
Talking about her imminent venture ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’, in which she will be paired opposite Ajay Devgan, the bombshell expressed, “I immediately agreed to do SOS; it is a great story with action and comedy. I was waiting for such a script to come across.”
