According to the latest reports revealed by Box-Office India, Madhavan and Kangana starrer, 'Tanu Weds Manu' received an electrifying response in the East Punjab region.

Reportedly, the total collections of the week in the eastern Punjab amounted to Rs. 2,50,08,501.

Well, the film's total collection is quite close to the 'Patiala House' figures. Interestingly, 'Patiala House' gleaned Rs. 2.83 crore in a week's time.

Considering the surging collections, 'Tanu Weds Manu', which gleaned Rs. 17 crore nett in the first six days of its release, is expected to yield Rs. 18.50 crore nett in its first week.

Directed by Anand L. Rai, 'Tanu Weds Manu' is a romantic comedy set on a budget of 17.5 crore.
