'No One Killed Jessica' credited with ‘A’ certificate

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, ‘No One Killed Jessica’ (NOKJ) has been finally credited with ‘A’ certificate by the censor board and that too without cuts.

Palpably, the makers of the film are ecstatic with the adult certificate as there won’t be any cuts in the film, and the message in the film will be easily conveyed to the audience.

It’s believed that the director and producers of the film feared that the film might have to go under various cuts in order to get the certificate, but presently, they appreciate the censor’s decision.

Vikas Behl, a senior official at UTV, said, “The emotion of the journey, the power of the people and the relentless effort of the media needed to be brought to the audience in the right light and hats off to the censor board for keeping that above all else while judging the film.”

Based on the real life story of New Delhi based model, Jessica Lall, NOKJ features the real life character names involved in the case.

NOKJ, releasing on Jan. 7, 2011, features Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles.

Vidya portrays the character of Jessica Lall’s sister, Sabrina, while Rani Mukherjee enacts the role of a blunt journalist, who does everything possible to seek the truth.

Considering the concept of the film, NOKJ is expected to be a good movie, but not a hit among the audience who anticipate an action-comedy film.
