SRK denies reports of selling off Knight Riders
Shah Rukh Khan dismissed rumors that he is in talks to sell off his Indian Premiere League team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

Shah Rukh Khan dismissed rumors that he is in talks to sell off his Indian Premiere League team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

King Khan dismissed reports of him trying to sell off his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders after the dismal performance of his team in the current season of IPL going on in South Africa.

Kolkata Knight Riders are on a losing spree after a storm of controversies that hit the team. First, Sourav Ganguly being ousted as the captain, then the multiple-captain theory, sending two Indian players, Aakash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar back home mid way from South Africa and the buzz about the player’s revolt against the Coach, John Buchanan has hurt the team’s on field performance.

It was also rumoured that Shah Rukh was in talks with the Anil Ambani Group, Nokia and Sahara to buy his stake in the team which is worth Rs. 300 crore. Shah Rukh had also stated that, “If my team continues to lose like this, I am not going back to South Africa. I will go only when they play well and win".

But the actor denied all such reports and stated that there was no way he was selling the team because he had a lot of emotional investment in building the side and quoted after casting his vote that, "The amount of love I have invested in it, nobody in this world can afford to buy it".

The Knight Riders have just managed to snatch a single victory from the five games that it has played in the current second season of IPL that is going on and is placed at the bottom on the points table.

We all hope that if not John Buchanan’s tactics but Shah Rukh’s love for the team manages to find some winning momentum for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
