Anna Nicole’s Infant Daughter Named Her Sole Heir
Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead, the 18-month-old daughter of deceased model Anna Nicole Smith, inherited millions of dollars from the estate of her late mother, after a Los Angeles Judge ruled Tuesday that the baby girl is the sole heir to the model and tabloid magnet's property.

Dannielynn has been legally named the sole heir to Anna's potential fortune nearly five months after Howard K. Stern, Smith's sycophantic lawyer, filed a court petition in Los Angeles asking that baby Danni be named the sole heir to the estate of Smith, whose assets at the time of her death were estimated at $710,000.
In her will, which was drawn up in 2001, Smith declared Stern executor of her estate.

Yesterday’s ruling came after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff approved Stern's petition to clarify his departed paramour's will.

"We and Mr. Stern always believed that Anna Nicole never intended to disinherit her daughter," Stern's lawyer, Bruce Ross, said after the hearing. "I'm pleased to say this chapter in the saga is closed."

Judge Beckloff 's ruling also established a trust for the toddler that would be administered by Stern, who at one point also claimed paternity, and Dannielynn's father, Larry Birkhead.

Anna Nicole Smith, the voluptuous ex-Playboy model whose life provided regular fodder to yellow journalism died February 8, 2007 at the age of 39 after apparently collapsing in a Florida hotel room.

Smith, who drew comparisons to such legendary beauties as Marilyn Monroe due to her penchant for white dresses and sleepy bedroom eyes, had lost her 20-year-old son from her first marriage just three days after she gave birth to a daughter, Dannielyn Hope Marshall Stern.

Daniel, Smith’s son from her first marriage Bill Smith, died on September 10 in Smith's own hospital room in the Bahamas.

Smith was born Vickie Lynn Hogan on Nov. 28, 1967, in Houston, Texas. She first gained popularity as Playboy magazine's 1993 Playmate of the Year and then increased her public presence with a series of glossy ads for Guess?, a popular American name-brand clothing line that uses a question mark as its emblem. She starred in a short-lived cable television reality series, The Anna Nicole Show, from 2002 to 2004.

She married Bill Smith, a cook at the small time diner where she used to work in 1985 and became mother of a baby boy in 1986. She divorced him two years later.

She became the talk of the town when she married 89-year-old oil business executive and billionaire J. Howard Marshall, who was 63 years her senior. Her highly publicized marriage to Marshall aired speculations that she married the octogenarian merely for his money, however, Smith denied. With Marshall’s money, Smith had cosmetic surgery to meliorate her looks.

Within weeks of her husband's death, Smith began a lengthy and ongoing legal battle against his son, E. Pierce Marshall for half of her late husband's $1.6 billion estate. Her case, Marshall v. Marshall, reached the U.S. Supreme Court in February 2006 on a technical question of federal jurisdiction.

Once the estate court case of Smith’s deceased late husband Marshall is settled, Dannielynn could receive hundreds of millions more from oil tycoon’s estate.
