”Satyagraha postponed

You may have to wait a while before Amitabh Bachchan sashays as “Anna Hazare” in Prakash Jha’s “Satyagraha”. The “superstar” and living legend Mr. Bachchan has already wrapped up his Satyagraha. He promises to delight us all with his role as “Anna Hazare” in the movie.

Go ahead folks, you can complete your unfinished works before you snatch those 3 hours to watch this Prakash Jha offering with Amitabh as the veteran social activist. The actively blogging Big B has always been a regular with his Twitter scribbles, once again we read his tweet on his Twitter page saying , "It's a wrap on the film 'Satyagraha' today (Wednesday). Film shooting over, releasing August 23.".

Well, the movie had earlier been slated to hit the silver screens on the 15th August but now it is going to show up for the public on the 23rd of August.
Remember Prakash and the Bachchan combination “Aarakshan” that had come in 2011! The film had tackled the delicate topic of reservation.

The red hot topic of the film had sizzled at the critics table and had won rave reviews from all even if it didn’t make much of an impact at the Box Office. The multi starrer film had the oomph added by Deepika who played Amitabh’s daughter in the film and the suave Saif Ali Khan. The dynamic duo of Prakash Jha and Amitabh Bachchan, have once again teamed up for “Satyagraha”.

What is “Satyagraha?

“Satyagraha” according to the gossip buzz will show Amitabh turn public “rights” protector and will stand up for the common man. The movie will be directed by Prakash Jha and Amitabh Bachchan will be sashaying the role of Anna Hazare, the social activist, who fights for the rights of the people. The film highlights another social evil that is existing in our society.

Jha has always maintained that he proud to have such talented actors climbing on to his Satyagraha bandwagon. He stated "Today, it seems that the middle-class all over the world is in anguish with the system and is gearing up to almost renegotiate democracy. This is where our history is going to be settled. It's such an important juncture in the world history.”

The director further added "There is corruption of wealth and power and it seems that the course of history is going to be settled. I'm extremely fortunate to have a dream cast of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay, Kareena, Arjun and Manoj playing the key roles."

We are sure that this peaceful portrayal of the ethos of a corruption protest will raise the shackles of many people. With you in just a moment!
