Silk Smitha's brother takes legal against ‘The Dirty Picture’ makers


Late Silk Smitha's brother V Naga Vara Prasad has sent a legal notice to the makers of ‘The Dirty Pictures’ for making a film on his sister without permission.


The notice has been sent to producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria of the film.

Film made without family consent
Vara Prasad complained that he was not contacted by Ekta or Milan for making the film on his sister.

“What right do the producer and the director have to make this film, without the family's consent?,” he questioned.

When asked about sending legal notice to the makers of ‘The Dirty Pictures’, he said, “There still has been no response from their side. We are now going to send a second notice in a couple of days through a High Court lawyer in Hyderabad. If they go ahead with the release, we will be compelled to initiate proceedings.”

He told the reporters that his family became aware of the film through a news report. He added the scenes projecting Silk Smitha in obscene way are based on the information provided by an alleged her boyfriend who lives in Chennai.
