Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced ‘Bajirao Mastani’ a long time back. But somehow, the project never took off.
'Bajirao' to be essayed by SRK
The ace director, however, has not given up on this dream project. If rumours are to be believed, the ‘Guzarish’ director is all set to launch the film, with SRK in the lead. The ‘RA.One’ star and Bhansali, who is considered to be one of the best directors in the industry today, are planning to meet soon for the narration, according to a prominent daily.
Salman was the original choice
Now this is going to lead to quite a few raised eyebrows. The project was initially supposed to have Salman in the lead. And Bhansali was very sure that he was the most suited for the role.
Things, however are not the same between the ‘Dabangg’ star and his ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ director Bhansali. And the director has now opted for a change in the lead.
With things already pretty ‘unfriendly’ in the two Khan camps, this move is definitely going to add fuel to the fire.
