According to the box-office reports, Imran Khan’s ‘Delhi Belly’ is leading the new releases at the box-office and fighting for the second position are ‘Transformers 3’ and ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’.
Apparently, Amitabh’s BHTB seems to be sandwiched between ‘Delhi Belly’ and ‘Transformers 3’.
“The youth is loving DB. The film is a first-of-its-kind, no one has seen such bold scenes and foul language on screen before. BHTB unfortunately seems to have gotten sandwiched between DB and Transformers 3,” analyzed trade expert Komal Nahta.
People are judging films on the basis of their stories—trade analyst
Another trade analyst, Bharathi Pradhan of Film Street Journal has observed that in recent times, movie lovers prefer to catch movies which have some novelty in their storyline.
Audience has also become fed up of the similar kind of item songs, similar story stuffs in films. Now they wish for something fresh, something exciting and worth watching.
Talking about the expectations of audiences, Bharathi stated, “People are judging the films solely on the basis of their stories. Both (BHTB and DB) used the promotional item song route, but can hardly be considered conventional.”
Pradhan is also speculating that as ‘Delhi Belly’ is an A-grade flick, it may not draw audiences of all age groups, whereas ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’ can catch the attention of all kind of audiences.
“Though DB got off to a flying start, its run may be limited due to its ‘adult’ content, whereas BHTB will appeal to a wider audience in B sectors,” further added Pradhan.
‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’ mints 3.25 crores in 2 days
