While none of the two is a South Indian, they got married in a simple, traditional South Indian wedding ceremony, under a mango tree at Ooty, which is the hometown of Kalki and her French parents since last 30 years.

“They had invited only around 40 odd people close to them for their marriage. But their party in Mumbai would largely be for their Bollywood fraternity,” revealed a source.

"The couple wanted it that way. Anurag's brother Abhinav was part of his wedding obviously. They both are very close. Anurag had also invited a few filmmakers. But that was all,” said the source.

The celebrations
There was no hullabaloo as far as the couples wedding outfits were concerned, as both wore simple attires for their best day, but looked as excited as the royal couple, Prince Williams and Kate Middleton, who also tied the knot on the same day.

According to the tabloids, even the feast that followed the wedding ceremony was held in the traditional way, with Kalki’s mother preparing a vegetarian feast for the guests.

“While the couple returned to Mumbai last evening, they’ve had to put their honeymoon plans on hold to accommodate Anurag’s next film Shaitan, which also stars Kalki, due to release on June 10,” disclosed an insider.

Their love story
The lovey-dovey couple fell truly and madly in love during the shooting of Anurag’s ‘Dev D’, and after that the two were frequently spotted having a good time together.

After seeing each other for almost two years, the two decided to make their affair legal, and now that they are married, they can live happily ever after.
