When the Pakistani bombshell extended her stay in India and was frequently spotted letting her hair down and cozying up with her alleged boyfriend Ashmit Patel, rumors mills started working overtime claiming them to be a couple.

However, now reports are trickling in that the so-called lovebirds, Veena and Ashmit have parted ways and the former, who was mulling settling down in Mumbai, has left India.

Apparently, their relationship lost its sweetness and the duo started drifting apart after Ashmit’s sister and popular Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel didn’t invite Veena for her birthday bash.

A close pal of Ashmit Patel denied the rumors about Ashmit-Veena link-up and said that the actor was never smitten by Veena, but it was the actress who was head over heels in love with him.

Defending Ashmit, his friend said, "It was a one-way affair from Veena's side. She loved him, but he did not. I would say that they were never together.”

“Things started getting worse when Ashmit learned about Veena planting stories about them in the media. This really bugged him. Ashmit didn't want that kind of publicity,” added the actor’s friend.

However, neither Ashmit nor Veena was available for confirming their break-up news.

Veena Malik not in India
The Pakistani hottie’s manager said that Veena Malik was in Dubai and would be returning to India after a week.

In a conversation with the TOI, Veena's manager said, "Yes, Veena is not in India. She left on Friday. She is in Dubai. She should be back after a week, hopefully."
