‘Tanu Weds Manu’ to join the league of sequels?


With ‘Dabangg 2’, ‘Don 2’ and ‘Housefull 2’ under production, it seems that sequel to a blockbuster movie has become a trend in the industry today, and wanting to follow this trend religiously, is the Manu of the recent best-seller ‘Tanu Weds Manu'.


Well, after his recent flick ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ left cash registers ringing at the box-office, hero Madhavan, who is on cloud nine at present, is eagerly looking forward to the second installment of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.

The romcom ‘Tanu Weds Manu', released all over on Feb. 25, has not only charmed the moviegoers across the nation, but has also fetched the lead actors, R. Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut humongous accolades for their mind-blowing performance.

As such, the videshi boy Manu of ‘Tanu Weds Manu', who had enjoyed immensely through out the making of the flick, wants to make its sequel.

Maddy says yes, TWM director says no
However, while Maddy is eager to become a part of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ sequel, director Anand is planning to cast the actor again with Kangana in some venture, other than TWM 2.

In a one-to-one with the media, Maddy said that he has already premeditated the storyline for the follow-up and is considering shooting it in London.

Madhavan, one among the ‘3 Idiots', is of the opinion that just like ‘Tanu Weds Manu', its sequel will also captivate the movie lovers.

‘Tanu Weds Manu’ still ruling the box-office
Filmmaker Anand Rai’s latest directorial venture ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ starring Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan as the lead pair has left behind all the other releases so far, to grab the top slot at the box-office.

The film, which garnered a whopping 18.25 crore in its opening week, is still leading at the box-office with its second week’s collection of Rs. 5 crore.

Adding up the first and second week’s collection, smash hit ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ has roughly Rs. 23 crore in its kitty at the moment.

Though the second week is not yet complete, it is estimated that the flick will be successfully acquiring around 7 crore by the end of the week, thereby taking the total collections to Rs. 26 crore approximately.
