‘7 Khoon Maaf’ which is based on Ruskin Bond’s ‘Susanne’s Seven Husbands’ will see Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra playing the main protagonist in a negative role in this high end drama and thriller flick.

After his last stunner ‘Ishqiya’ worked wonders at the box-office, Vishal who is always known to make his films go beyond stereotypes has come up with a gamut of exciting themes and ideas for his latest offering ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ to make it a gripping and entertaining film.

'7 Khoon Maaf’ is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and the filmmaker himself; and the film is being distributed by UTV Motion Pictures and VB Pictures Pvt. Ltd.

In this black comedy, Priyanka shares screen space with an ensemble of male stars like Neil Nitin Mukesh, John Abraham, Irrfan Khan, Aleksandr Dyachenko, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vivaan Shah, who apparently play her seven husbands in the flick

Other than directing and producing ‘7 Khoon Maaf’, Vishal has also contributed for the soulful music, while the lyrics has been penned by his friend and famous lyricist Gulzar.

Synopsis
The film ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ tells the tale of a beautiful Anglo-Indian woman Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes (played by Priyanka) who is inscrutably charming that she makes men go weak in their knees.

During the course of her life, from the age of 25 to 65 years, Susanna gets married to seven men and kills each of them since she finds she is not blissfully happy with her marriage and hence is not interested in continuing the relationship.

On the other hand, owing to the imprecision of circumstances under which each of her seven husbands dies, Susanna becomes the primary suspect.

Will Susanna go behind the bars for murdering each of her seven husbands or did they deserve to be killed is left to us to find out by watching the film.
