Big B to work with 1000 trained actors

In his forthcoming film ‘Aarakhshan,’ Amitabh Bachchan will be working with 1000 students who have specially been trained for the film.

Prakash Jha’s next sees Big B playing professor to 1000 students from various colleges in Madhya Pradesh who gathered at Bhopal’s Oriental College to be part of Professor Bachchans' classroom.

This is not the first time that Big B is playing the role of a professor, how ever it is the first time that all the students are trained actors.

Prakash Jha holds workshops
This is the first time actors have been trained to play students in an Indian film. All the students attended an acting workshop for one month.
“I wanted students playing students, not actors masquerading as students.

At the same time I wanted them to be camera-trained,” quips director Prakash Jha adding, “by the end of the training they were all ready and also understood what the camera required.”

Interestingly, Jha has followed this mantra to make his films look as realistic as possible. In his last political venture ‘Rajneeti’ he trained as many as 2000 people to act as crowds at rallies.

"You can say I've given Madhya Pradesh a thousand new actors. I can easily become the 'acting' ambassador of the state," chuckled Jha.

Big B on Bhopal
Based on his interaction with the students and public, Big B praised the people the of Bhopal calling them cultured and disciplined.

His fondness for them was apparent when he tweeted, "As many people I have met so far in Bhopal, all are polite, cultured, disciplined and easy to get familiar with. Love and care for people of Bhopal."

Another reason for Bhopal being close to Big B’s heart is his mother-in-law who still lives there and was visited by Bachchan recently.

The film is being produced by Feroz Nadiadwala and the tentative release date is sometime in August of this year.

It is a political drama focusing on the issue of reservation. The cast includes Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Prateek Babbar, and Manoj Bajpai.
