As per the tabloids, the megastar’s imminent motion picture has been finalized and the star will be seen playing a triple role in it.

The film which is a chockablock action drama has been titled as ‘Rana’ and will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

Talking about the movie, Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd. said, "Rajni fans will be treated to a triple role essayed by their favourite actor. Rana is going to be far different from any of the recent Rajni films, a complete live action magnum opus with loads of entertainment for his fans."

‘Rana’ will be directed by K. S. Ravikumar and co-produced by Eros International and Chennai based-Ocher Studios.

Rajinikanth and Ravikumar’s awesome pairing
The outstanding twosome pair of director K. S. Ravikumar and actor Rajinikanth, who had set the silver screen on fire with ‘Muthu’ and ‘Padayappa’, is anticipated to leave the spectators awestruck with ‘Rana’ as well.

In a conversation with the CT, K. S. Ravikumar said, "Yes, Rana will be an action entertainer and it will be a period film. Rajinikanth will sport a different look in it."

"If things go according to plan, Rana will start rolling in March. Rajini will play three different roles in it. It will be a trilingual and the film will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi by next year," revealed a source close to the film unit.

It's learnt that the gorgeous bombshell Deepika Padukone was offered to share the screen space with the superstar in ‘Rana’. But, as the actress had already made commitments with other filmmakers, she is yet to finalize her decision.

The other crew members
The music maestro A. R. Rahman has been roped in for compiling the piece of music for ‘Rana'.

While Rathnavelu will be doing the cinematography, art and editing will be handled by Rajeevan and Anthony respectively.

Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya and Charles Darby will be looking after the special effects and technical aspects of the film.
