Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar was offered the role of Robert D'costa but both of them turned down...

Amitabh Bachchan might have refused to host the next season of 'Bigg Boss,' but Colors is still pursuing him to host a reality show based on current affairs.
A source familiar with the matter said, "Last year, Colors lost the chance to have Mr Bachchan host Bigg Boss because Sony Entertainment was quicker with negotiations for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Now, both channels are vying to reserve Mr Bachchan for their respective shows."
Amitabh Bachchan confirms hosting shows
The Megastar went on to confirm the fact that he is going to work with both the channels. Bachchan said, "Yes, I will be doing something on both channels next year.
"Sony wants me for another season of KBC and Colors is working on a new show." Both shows are expected to go on air at the same time.
Bachchan’s connect with the middle class
A source informed that Colors wants to bank on Bachchan’s connect with the middleclass. They are planning to launch a reality show which will be different from other game show formats.
"Amitji's reality show on Colors will be a gritty, intense look at contemporary issues," the source said.
Bachchan said that interacting with the working class on KBC was an overwhelming experience. He added, “Frankly, I was apprehensive about how I'll manage since I was returning to KBC after 10 years. But the bond I forged with working class contestants was so gratifying."
Now, the superstar wants to take his connect with the middle class a step further with the new game show on Colors. "We thought the episodes featuring stars on KBC would show a grand rise in the TRPs. Ironically, it was the working class which seemed to matter on the show," he said.
The big shots of Colors and Sony are seen to be swarming around Big B’s office these days. And why not, Amitabh Bachchan seems to have captured the small screen as well.
