Aditya Chopra initially wanted to rope in Tom Cruise for the role of Raj Malhotra in 'Dilwale...

Incidentally, Ramu, and his lead actors, Vivek Oberoi, Suriya and Priya Mani are not shying away from the controversial opposition and are all set to attend the premiere in the antagonistic state.
‘Rakta Charitra’s' content angered the people of Anantapur
‘Rakta Charitra’, made on the conspiracy theories surrounding the life and assassination of the political leader Paritala Ravi, has angered the people since they feel Varma has focused on the negative side of his character.
Speaking on this, Ramu stated, "This is my last attempt to make the local population in Anantapur understand that I wasn't out to sensationalize or demonize their local hero. They need to see and judge for themselves."
Ramu further stated that people initially had problems with the content of the film but he believes that after watching the film, people will do change their attitude.
“The people who have problems with the content of the film need to come and watch it, so that they realise that the rumours are untrue. It's their story, the movie is about them and therefore the premiere has to be held in Anantapur,” further added Ramu.
Varma enjoys the much hyped publicity
However, with so much of controversy surrounding this film, everyone believed that it is just a publicity stunt intended to promote the film and interestingly, Varma seems to agree to it rather than mincing his words.
"Of course it is a publicity stunt, everything I do, I do it for publicity. I am in the business of making films and films need publicity," stated the filmmaker.
“I just do things for attention; the media makes news and controversies out of them," added Varma.
The film is all set to hit the screens in two installments. Incidentally, the first part of the film will be releasing this Friday, while the second will land in screens on Nov. 19.
