Hrithik not to be in Zayed’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle’

According to the latest tabloids reports, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, who initially was starring in his brother-in-law Zayed Khan’s home production ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, now will not be doing the project as he’s busy with his other work commitments.

Reportedly, Zayed, who waited patiently for his jijaji’s consent, is considering moving ahead with the project with or without Hrithik.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ as per sources was supposed to be a action/supernatural thriller, where Hrithik and Zayed were in the main lead. The film was to be directed by ‘Allah Ke Banday’ director, Faruk Kabir.

Meanwhile, as per the sources close to Zayed, "The incident hasn't affected Zayed's relations with Hrithik. But he has now decided not to mix professional and family affairs" but at the moment project seems as good as dead fish.

Zayed on rumors
When Zayed was contacted to comment on the latest set of rumors, he played down the whole thing saying, “No serious thought was given to that script. It was just media hype."

The actor, who failed to make any mark for himself in the industry, recently made a cameo in ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ after a very long period of time.

Commenting on his cameo, he said, "Beyond my role, I had no clue about the script. I liked my role and I did it without thinking about what it would do for my career."

Faruk’s side of story
Zayed might not be in the mood to divulge what went wrong with the whole project. But, Faruk, who was to direct the film, is neither mincing his words nor thoughts on the issue.

“I was supposed to direct Welcome To The Jungle for Sanjay Khan saab with Hrithik and Zayed in the lead. We had in fact scripted the film,” revealed the filmmaker.

"It was supposed to be a rugged jungle adventure with plenty of action for both the actors, and a touch of the supernatural a la Manoj Night Shyamalan.”

However, things did not work out as he got busy “with Allah Ke Banday and Hrithik got busy with Kites and Guzaarish. I really don't know where that project stands at the moment."
