The show has shown me my true self- Akki

The Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay is back on the small screen with Star's 'Amul MasterChef India' after showing his excellence as a host in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' on Colors channel.


Apparently, Akki is quite excited as the show has brought him back to his roots. He then added, “Yeh show ne mujhe meri aukat dikha dee (The show has shown me my true self).”

The show will be aired from Oct. 16, Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm on Star Plus.

Akki loves cooking and eating
This versatile actor is a sheer lover of cooking and eating. Before becoming a Bollywood actor, Akshay used to work as a chef in Thailand and learn martial arts as well.

Reminiscing his old days, Akki revealed, “This show takes me to back to my roots...reminds me of my past.”

"Cooking has fascinated me since I was 14. I like cooking. I cook whenever I am at home.. may be once a week or once a month," added the charismatic personality.

Akshay reveals about the show
While disclosing details about the show, Akshay said that the show is not only a cookery show but it also contains emotions and drama.

The actor will be judging the show along with talented and experienced chefs, Kunal Kapoor and Ajay Chopra.

Akki even said that the show is a great platform for the housewives to showcase their cooking talent and potential. The motive of the show is to find the best cooking talent from 12 contestants.

When asked Akshay, who is the master chef in his life, the 43-year-old replied his grandmother.

“It will showcase different traditional Hindustani Khaana. The show will provide a platform to acknowledge and encourage the culinary skills of passionate cooks and groom them to become professionals,” Akshay further added.
