Being the 40th film, ‘We Are Family’ is landmark-sought of a film for Kareena. Directed by Siddharth Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar, the film also stars Kajol and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles.

Playing the role of a mother, who is also an independent career oriented woman, Kareena believes the diversity of the role has brought out the best in her.

Kareena appears pretty animated as she gushes, “We Are Family is one of my best works undoubtedly. I have got an opportunity to portray a different image of myself in the film. I’m playing a mother and the fact that it marks the 40th film of my career makes it extra special for me.”

Is Kareena a bankable star?
With her sublime dialogue delivery and her peerless emotional display, Kareena has always been a better actress than many.

It’s only that her choices of films haven’t been too good. Some of her films like ‘Asoka’, ‘Dev’ and ‘Yaadein’ have suffered because of flaws of script or director.

In many films, she has given a heartfelt performances. However, it’s unfortunate that her power-packed performances couldn’t translate some into a hit.

However, with critically acclaimed films like ‘Omkara’, ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Chameli’, she did prove that she is here to stay. Hence, it’s no wonder that she commands a hefty fee and is still flooded with film and commercial offers.
