Konkona Sen to wear her grandmother’s jewellery on her wedding

Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma recently revealed on Thursday that she would love to wear her grandmother’s jewellery on her wedding day.

The 30-year-old actress revealed her desire at a press event after walking the ramp for designer jewellery brand Amrapali for their bridal collection at the Indian International Jewellery Week (IIJW) on Thursday.

"When I get married I would wear the same jewelery that my grandmother had worn for her marriage. I would wear kundan set that is inherited from my grandma," said Konkona, when tabloids asked her about the kind of jewellery she would like to wear on her wedding day.

The talented actress went on to add, “I’m not such a jewellery person but on my wedding I’ll wear jewellery that I have inherited from my grandmother. It’s a beautiful Kundan piece and I’m very proud of it.”

Konkona scared of ramp walk
Konkona, who opened the show, walked the ramp gracefully and looked stunning in her attire adorned with five-row kundan set.

However, later she revealed, though, it was a fun experience to walk the ramp again but at the same time, she was scared and nervous about the whole thing.

“I was quite nervous while walking the ramp because this is only the second time that I’m doing this. But I was excited too since its very rare that you get to wear jewellery like this. I feel like a queen today,” said the actress.

Before this event, Konkona had walked for fashion designer Neeta Lulla in 2009 at the Lakme Fashion Week.

Other celebrity guests at the event
Designer jewellery brand Amrapali’s show at IIJW turned out to be an all out women show attended by many celebrity women, apart from Konkona.

Celebrities like singer Ila Arun along with her daughter Ishita Arun, fashion designer Anita Dongre, Bollywood actress Kiron Kher, television actress Neena Gupta along with her daughter Masaba and playback singer Alka Yagnik were spotted at the show.
