The plot of Manmohan Desai's famous blockbuster 'Amar Akbar Anthony' was inspired from a...

Speculations were rife that Sharukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were earlier approached by the channel to host the show, but things didn't work out well and finally it was Salman who bagged the offer.
Salman to compete with Big B
Interestingly, it was Shahrukh who hosted 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' season 3 after Amitabh Bachchan and now it is Salman who will be hosting 'Bigg Boss' after Big B in season 3.
Tabloids depicts that 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and 'Bigg Boss 4' will be telecast on two different channels at the same time on the same day. There will definitely be a war for TRPs.
When asked about the competition and comparison between the two, Salman says “I don’t really care about TRPs. I just like connecting with my audience, which is why I’m doing more of television.’’
He added, “For me, television is a way of returning the love and affection that I have got from the audience for the past 22 years. Now they get to see me in the comfort of their homes, and that too for free”.
Salman's attitude towards the show
Amitabh Bachchan was friendly on the sets. Whether Salman will behave in the similar manner will be clear once the show goes on air.
Speaking about comparison with Big B, Salman stated, “He had his style and I have mine. Besides, Mr Bachchan is going to host another show in a different format. All these comparisons are nowhere in my mind.’’
He also mentioned, “I’m very straight-forward and won’t tolerate hypocrisy or politics in the house. For those who play clean, I’ll be a friend. But those who don’t, can expect the worst.’’
Though both Amitabh and Salman will try to beat each other, the final verdict, regarding who outshines, will be of the audience.
