Vivek finds soulmate; marriage Oct.29

The ‘Prince’ of Bollywood, Vivek Oberoi seems to have got his perfect bride. The actor has been hooked up with Priyanka Alva, daughter of danseuse and social worker Nandini Alwa, wife of former Karnataka Minister and Senior Janata Dal leader Jeevaraj Alwa.

October 29 has been confirmed as the weeding day and the engagement ceremony will take place in the first week of September.

“The families had a discussion, their horoscopes matched perfectly and then we let the children take it forward. The wedding dates were fixed three days ago and I am very happy that Priyanka and Vivek are extremely happy with each other,” Nandini added.

Nandini on cloud nine
Nandini, who is excited about her daughter’s marriage, revealed, “Vivek and Priyanka share a great passion for social work. That is their best connect.”

The 28-year-old Priyanka Alwa is a graduate in Business Management from London and is currently working with an NGO, Artistes Foundation for Arts, established by her family. She even helps her mother to run orphanages.

Besides the social work, Priyanka is also a popular dancer and has keen interest in protecting ecology and animals.

“Priyanka completed her education in New York, where her subjects dealt with non-profit organisations and social work. She is very pleased with the fact that Vivek also shares the same passion, having contributed and worked towards aiding several social issues,” adds the happy mother.

More about the groom
The would-be groom, Vivek Oberoi has not been quite lucky in his filmy career, especially after his break-up with gorgeous Aishwarya Rai and controversial press conference against Bollywood hunk Salman Khan.

The 33-year-old actor got engaged earlier with his former girlfriend Gurpreet in 2002 but they soon called it quits. Later, he dated Aishwarya Rai for two years but unfortunately it also ended.

Vivek’s name has also been linked with other actresses like Neeru Bajwa, Vidya Balan and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Let’s forget the past. Presently, just like Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek will soon become the son-in-law of Bunt community, a coastal belt of Karnataka.
