Synopsis of ‘Khatta Meetha’
‘Khatta Meetha’ is a remake of the 1989 hit Malayalam film ‘Vellanakalude Nadu’ and revolves around the life of a struggling small time road construction contractor Sachin Tichkule in Maharashtra, who wants to make it big in his profession.

However, the biggest problem standing between Tichkule’s dreams and their realization is the corrupt system of the country and Sachin’s poor status.

Since Tichkule does not have enough money to bribe officials, his work never gets completed.

To make matters worse, the new municipal commissioner turns out to be Tickhule’s ex-girlfriend Gehna Ganpule (Trisha), who now hates him.

Laugh riot begins as Sachin tries to find his way around one disaster to another in his professional life.

In the film ‘Khatta Meetha’, filmmaker Priyadarshan has shown in a very light-hearted manner that rampant corruption and bribery is in the system and how one needs to adopt the very same methods if he wishes to succeed.
