With 'Twilight: Eclipse', the third film in the series releasing July 30, mid-day.com ran a poll to see which Bollywood actor fans wanted to play Robert Pattinson in its desi version.

Imran is not a Twihard
Surprisingly, cute looking Imran defeated Neil Nitin Mukesh (28 percent), Ranbir Kapoor (23 percent) and Shahid Kapoor (9 percent) scoring 40 percent votes in his favour.

While Imran is aware of the Twilight mania, he admits he isn't a big fan, "I know it's a huge franchise the world over and that the series has a huge fan following but I have not watched any of the movies. I know the third part is up for release, but I can't watch it since I haven't seen the first two. Maybe I'll try and catch up on the first when I have time."

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen has captured the imagination of Twihards (what the Twilight series -books and films-- fans are known as) all over the world.

About his striking resemblance with the Twilight star, Imran said, "I have heard this a lot from my fans on Twitter. They find a lot of resemblance between Edward and me. They say I look similar to Robert. I think it has something to do with the way my hair was styled in 'I Hate Luv Storys'. Otherwise, I really don't see any similarities."

On asking which actress would he cast as a vampire, Imran said, “Priyanka Chopra would look really nice. She has that jet black hair and intense eyes. She would look really good in a vampire film.”
