Surprisingly, the highpoint of the runway is going to be the host of Top thirteen designers, who will be exhibiting their exclusive designs.
Event will showcase high fashion designing and dressmaking
Earlier, there had been similar editions of the same huge fashion event in Mumbai. However, this time FDCI has decided to keep the event in Delhi.
This huge Delhi fashion affair is scheduled to take place for six days in the capital at The Grand Hotel in Vasanth Kunj.
When Sunil Sethi, the FDCI president, was asked about PDWC, he stated, "Delhi will experience its first ever Couture Week through the collaboration of Pearls and FDCI. Its the biggest extravaganza of the decade with the best of all-designers, sets, apparels and accessories-coming together to showcase high fashion designing and dressmaking."
“The event will have a host of 13 top notch designers showcasing their designs on ramp. Meanwhile, six other designers have been shortlisted who will showcase their designs as part of the installation. As for the splitting of shows, there will be two shows everyday - one at 8 pm followed by the other at 9 pm, while one of these will have an off-site show,” further added by the president of the FDCI.
The Top thirteen
The designers, who will be glamming-up the runway with their couture, includes Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Manav Gangwani, Pallavi Jaikishan, Raakesh Agarvwal, Rina Dhaka, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Suneet Varma and Varun Bah.
The designers, who will be showcasing their special installations, includes Ekta & Ruchira, Paras & Shalini, Jaya Rathore, Monapali, Reynu Taandon and Satya Paul.
