In order to mark the first death anniversary of Michael Jackson his family members will organize an event in Los Angeles on June 10.

The Jackson Family Foundation will present Forever Michael at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, in memory of the pop legend who died on June 25 last year.

The pop legend Michael Jackson’s distinctive musical sound and vocal style has influenced countless hip hop pop and rock artists.

His album ‘thriller’ is considered an everlasting masterpiece and his hundreds of awards have made him the most-awarded recording artist in the history of music.

Michael, who has become larger than life with his accomplishments and is immortalized with his dance techniques such as ‘robot’ and ‘moonwalk’, was often under the scanner for his mysterious life style when he was alive. The darker side of the singer’s life includes his humiliating 2005 trial and acquittal on charges of child sex abuse.

Apart from his much-publicized personal life, Michael became one of the living legends of his time.

President Barack Obama said he was "one of the greatest entertainers of our generation, perhaps any generation. I think like Elvis, like Sinatra, like The Beatles, he became a core part of our culture.”

Legacy that Michael Jackson left behind
Michael Jackson died on June 25, giving rise to speculative reports of abuse of prescription drugs, including the powerful narcotic Diprivan.

But his legacy lives on, as his as influential body of work continues to inspire millions and his humanitarian works continue to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for beneficial causes and support over 39 charities.

Now on June 25, a year after his death, Jackson Family Foundation brings together Michael Jackson family members, celebrities, fans, supporters and the community, to celebrate his legacy.
