Salman, Shah Rukh to play charity cricket match together in Colombo at IIFA

Bollywood super heroes Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan would be seen together in a team against Sri Lankan cricketers in a charity cricket match at Colombo, during the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.


It would be interesting to see both of them play together, as it would be for the first time after their fight at Katrina Kaif's birthday party in 2008.

The 11th IIFA awards would continue for three days- June 3rd to 5th. The charity cricket match 'Charity For Children' would be held on the second day of IIFA awards.

'Charity For Children'
'Charity For Children' is being organized by IIFA organization in association with Sri Lanka Cricket and UNICEF for the former children of soldiers and other rehabilitated children.

The match will be tossed by Bipasha Basu and Sanjay Dutt, and Shah Rukh Khan would lead the Bollywood celebrities team.

Apart from Shah Rukh and Salman, the Bollywood team would include Hrithik Roshan, Sunil Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Anil Kapoor and many more.

Kumar Sangakkara would be the captain of Sri Lanka team. Muttiah Muralitharan, Sanath Jayasuriya and Jayawardena are some of the other Sri Lanka cricketers to play.

Apart from cricket match, IIFA would also hold FICCI, IIFA Global Business Forum, the IIFA Foundation Fashion Extravaganza, World premieres of Indian films, IIFA Film Workshop and spectacular IIFA Awards.

IIFA, the biggest South Asian media event, would have dazzling performances by Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, Riteish Deshmukh, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Sri Lanka’s own, Jacqueline Fernandez.

Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of IIFA, would be present at the match for a while, but this time Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would not be there for IIFA awards.

IIFA, one of the world's most watched annual entertainment events, would have screening of Prakash Jha’s 'Raajneeti' and Anil Kapoor’s 'Aisha'.
