In India, the movie will be released across 1800 screens on the same day. The movie is co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Walkwater Media.

A powerful story
'Rajneeti' is about Indian political scenario, power games, democracy and elections. It is the story of a few people who control the lives of millions.

Jha says, "Politics is something we play every day, between friends, relatives and society. This film deals with aspirations, greed and loyalty."

UTV Group CEO and founder chairman Ronnie Screwvala adds, "Rajneeti is a very powerful film. It has a very strong narrative about life in this country.

"Rajneeti is a high drama film with politics as the background and who is more adept and accomplished than Prakash Jha to pull off a film based on politics. We believe we have a powerful script and the most exciting cast ensemble of today."

'Rajneeti' stars to discuss politics with students
UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur said that they are going to various colleges in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmadabad, Indore, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Kolkatta and to interact with students about politics.

Director-Producer Prakash Jha added that today’s generation is “getting motivated towards politics,” and an interaction session will make people “more aware of their political or democratic responsibility.

"People should have a positive vision towards politics because until educated people take responsibility of the country in their hands, you have seen what has happened to politics of your country till now. There should be proper education, professional training on politics," says Jha.

In Delhi, the 'Rajneeti' team will meet students at Shri Ram College of Commerce. In Bangalore it will be held at the Brigade Convention Center and in Kolkatta the rally will be held at IIM.
