“I can only say that I am judging a reality show (and no more) at this point," said Shilpa when tabloids asked her about rumors of her joining the show.

An insider on condition of anonymity revealed that the producers of the 'IPL Rockstar', which is not doing as good as expected, decided to get Shilpa on the show due to her association with Indian Premier League.

Shilpa co-owns Rajasthan Royals team in the IPL tournament.

Others in 'IPL Rockstar' show
The Colors 'IPL Rockstar' reality show will be aired on the channel every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Hip hop singer and rapper Hard Kaur will be hosting the show.

The show features 12 contestants who will be performing in front of celebrity judges such as Kailash Kher, Sukhwinder Singh and Shilpa Shetty.

If reports are to be believed then other star owners of IPL teams such as SRK and Preity Zinta will also be taking part in the show as special jury members.

“With IPL Rockstar, Indian audience will witness a blend of our nation’s biggest passions — cricket and music,” said Ashvini Yardi, Head Programming of Colors.

However, when asked to confirm the rumors regarding all the celebrity judges on the show he dodged the question and did not confirm any of the rumors doing the around.

Rumors are also abuzz about many people not being happy with Shilpa's inclusion in the show.

Meanwhile, Raja Hassan 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' Challenge 2007 finalist is also taking part in the show.

He talked of her inclusion and said, “When the God of cricket (Sachin Tendulkar) is in the ground, the rest are simply dwarfed. Honestly, I’m not aware of Shilpa’s participation but it would be great to perform in front of her.”
