Aamir & Cameron to take centre stage for 'the future of cinema'

Bollywood’s Aamir Khan will share centre stage with the maker of 'Avatar', James Cameron, at a forum in Delhi to talk about the future of cinema.


Cameron will be visiting India for a first time on March 13th.

This creative engineer will be discussing the future of cinema with Bollywood’s talented actor Aamir Khan. The Conclave which will be for roughly 80 to 90 minutes. It will take place at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi on March 12 and 13.

An actor who redefined the concept of good acting, Aamir Khan, is all excited about meeting Cameron. He has even prepared a questionnaire for him.

Insiders conveyed that Aamir eagerly wants to know about the new performance capture production workflow and the changing nature of filmmaking that is seen in Cameron’s ‘Avatar’.

Aamir has been getting ready for the Conclave by watching all of Cameron’s works.

It has been communicated that Aamir is overwhelmed by the special effects and 3D technology of Avatar.

Responding to the question about what Aamir is planning to learn from him, insiders stated, “He plans to sit with Cameron and talk to him about his views on the changing nature of films."

Earlier Aamir was reluctant to act in a Hollywood flick, but he has now finally agreed to work on Danny Boyle’s new project ‘Bombay Velvet’, which will be directed by Anurag Kashyap

Marketing and distributing films in the west appears as complex operation and Aamir is also planning to find out from James Cameron, the Hollywood giant of filmmaking about the nuances of marketing films.

Cameron has also been briefed about Aamir’s work; he has been sent a DVD of Aamir’s recent film and has been asked to watch the film before he meets the Bollywood actor.

The main theme of the topic at the India Today Conclave 2010 includes, “New Decade: Great Expectations”, which is being structured by “The India Today Group”.

The Group chairman, Aroon Purie informed, “This decade holds great expectations for India and the world.”

Speakers who will be taking the stage on other topics at the forum will be, the ruler of Dubai, Cisco CEO, Google president of Global Sales, author Salman Rushdie, yoga expert Swami Ramdev, Harvard economics professor, Ford Motor CEO, Facebook co-founder, Godrej president, the goal keeper of Indian hockey team, Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Asin Thottumkal.

The registration fee for the forum is Rs. 85,000 and participation is limited to 300.
