Now that both mentor and protégé have patched up their differences, RGV certainly has no problem showing the nice gesture towards the actor.
Ramu’s decision could also be the result of Vivek agreeing to star in his next movie titled “Rakta Charitra.”
However, according to an insider familiar with the matter, the request to delay “Phoonk 2” release has come from the actor himself, who dropped by Ramu’s office on Holi to discuss the date issues.
“Vivek told Ramuji that even though Ritesh Deshmukh’s “Jaane Kahaan Se Aayi Hai” was also releasing on the same day, he was worried about “Phoonk 2” eating into “Prince’s” collections. More so, since Phoonk had done surprisingly well despite releasing with the Mallika Sherawat-driven “Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam,” said the insider.
“Phoonk’s” delay not confirmed?
News has it that despite the latest confirmation, Ramu simply denied the whole report via a text message ssaying, “Vivek and I never discussed any release dates. And I never spoke to Kumar Taurani in this regard.”
But “Prince’s” producer Taurani immediately confirmed the news saying, “Ramuji sent me a text message to ask if I was releasing Prince on April 9. I confirmed the date. The next thing I heard from trade circles was that Phoonk 2 has been rescheduled to April 16.”
