The lavish wedding ceremony was hosted by NDTV Imagine at Mumbai Hotel Leela Kempinski.

The happy couple took their wedding vows in the presence of their immediate family, close friends and many TV stars.

Rahul’s late father’s photo was also placed at the marriage venue.

The wedding Trousseau for Rahul and Dimpy’s marriage was designed by ace fashion designer Neeta Lulla. Dimpy looked fabulous in her red bridal sari.

Rahul gave thumbs-up to the wedding despite the fact that his uncle Praveen Mahajan, convicted of killing his father and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, died couple of days ago.

The newly married couple is reportedly planning to spend their honeymoon in Maldives if court releases Rahul’s passport.

Rahul won’t stop Dimpy from working
While talking to reporters after the wedding ceremony Rahul Mahajan made it clear that he has no intention to stop his pretty wife Dimpy from pursuing her chosen career.

"Dimpy is a good friend and is free to pursue any career," said Rahul.

Dimpy, who is a model by profession chimed with her husband and said, “Rahul doesn't want me to be a housewife. So I'll work. But I don't know yet what I will be doing."

Dimpy wants Rahul to enter politics
Dimpy also made her wishes known in the media that she wants her husband to quit show business and enter politics just like his late father.

“I really want him (Rahul) to pursue a political career," said Rahul’s bride Dimpy.

On hearing his bride’s wish, 35-year-old Rahul said, "I'll first manage my home and once that is settled, I'll manage the country."
