Debutant director Raja Unnithan’s movie ‘Hello Zindagi’ that released on March 5 celebrates womanhood and depicts the challenges faced by the modern women.

The ‘women special’ movie produced by Suresh Menon and Amit Garg stars Kanwaljit Singh, Neena Gupta, Kitu Gidwani, Milind Gunaji, Amit Behl and Mrunmayee Lagoo in pivotal roles.

Raja Unnithan informs, “Hello Zindagi is a tribute to womanhood. It is about nature and the mother. I am celebrating all of it through this film and I hope all people, especially women like it.”

“Coincidentally my film is releasing on March 5 and March 8 is Women's Day. I want all women to come and watch the movie.”

“With other issues in the movie, we are at the same time also fighting against the system that hero works and heroines don't and that no movies are made on women,” he adds.

Director loves the movie
The South Indian director who ventures into Hindi cinema with this one feels that a good movie is still good even if it fails to attract audience and he is positive about ‘Hello Zindagi’.

The movie talks about issues pertaining to parenthood and its complexities in the modern times and is a narrative on the present day society.

Unnithan says, “Society is changing really fast and in that humdrum especially women's life has become more challenging than that of men because there is a part that is still lingering in their lives like morality and other issues.”

“Take for example marriage and settling down, these are the terms we so often use, but we don't understand,” he adds.

Kitu Gidwani’s second commercial film
The star of the much famed television series ‘Swabhimaan’, Kitu Gidwani plays the role of a rich lady who has everything but is still incomplete and hollow.

She says, “Hello Zindagi' is a lovely little film which talks about the life of a young woman and an older one. While the young one is spoilt and is into drugs, the older one is a doctor whose married life is not going well.”

“The film tracks their journey as they find a new meaning to their life,” she concludes.
