Mumbai, February 4 -- Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai brought business to a standstill at a shopping mall in India's financial hub Mumbai recently while shooting for Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay’.

When the members of the production crew and staff began the shooting at the rambling R-City mall on a weekday, they had assumed that they could avoid the swelling weekend crowds. They were sadly mistaken as not only did people throng the shopping center, they also caused delay in the shooting.

When the team arrived as scheduled to shoot at the mall, they were in for a huge surprise as hordes of fans thronged to get an eyeful of the leading actress.

After having waited for almost an hour, the crowd was finally able to see the leading lady who unfortunately didn’t even bother to acknowledge her fans.

Aishwarya Rai, who took her own sweet time, finally came out clad in a green sari with pink border looking as gorgeous as ever. The roaring crowd greeted the Bollywood queen, calling out her name and waving at her, as she walked past them from one end of the mall to the set.

Interestingly, the unapologetically arrogant lady didn’t even bother to take a look at her mad fans, waving at her. She only seemed to have looked disconcerted having to walk between them in a sari, and was even believed to have looked annoyed with all the attention that was bestowed upon her.

Director Vipul Shah is believed to have had a tough time toggling back and forth between the shots and requesting the crowds to clear the space as the scene required Aishwarya to casually walk in and around the mall checking out the stores.

And making things even more difficult for Vipul was the fact that not only was it painful to get fan free space, it had also become a challenge to get Aishwarya to enact the scene right, which it is believed to have been achieved only after a number of retakes.

It is believed that the star is now being offered a whopping 10 crores for a film. Producer and National Award winner Bobby Pushkarna of Page 3 fame is said to have relentlessly pursued Aishwarya for almost three months to get her to agree to do his film. And it is believed that he had even decided that if Ash would not do his film, then he will not make it.

However you can’t blame the actress for becoming pricier by the day, if produces are willing to chase her around to work for them, one can’t blame her for superciliousness.

The leading lady is at present shooting for ‘Action Replay’, ‘Guzaarish’ and ‘Robot.’
