Salman disappoints fans at Jaipur marathon

Jaipur, January 25 -- Bollywood's spoilt brat Salman Khan, follows a controversy wherever he goes. The same happened in Jaipur when the heartthrob went to promote his latest flick ‘Veer’.

Salman, who was supposed to take part in a flag marathon, dropped out last minute angering his countless fans.

As per various tabloid reports, Salman's fans threw chairs and water bottles around after hearing the news. Police was forced to opt for lathicharge to disperse the rowdy crowd. Khan was quickly taken away to safe place.

Disappointment over Salman’s action
Though nobody from the administration and fans got seriously injured, news has it that a few got hurt in the melee.

Salman fans seemed more emotionally hurt due to his behavior.

"The fans were angry as Salman did not take part in the marathon. They wanted him to run with them, but seeing the behavior of the crowd and because of security reasons, the administration decided against it," said one official at the venue.

Fans gathered just to see Salman
According to tabloid news over 25,000 enthusiastic people gathered in the Ramniwas Garden to take part in the marathon.

"We were happy to see enthusiasm in Jaipur for the marathon," said Suresh Mishra, organizer and president Sanskriti, the voluntary organization that organized the event.

However, half of them were there because organizers had marketed the event saying that Salman will be running along-side them.

“I came from Alwar to run with the actor. The organizers shouldn’t have given us the impression that the actor will run with us,” said a disappointed Salman fan who had even bought a new athletic kit for especially for the event.
