Chhotte Ustad re- lives the splendid 35 years of Sholay in this week’s Sholay special episode. To celebrate the glorious journey of Sholay, stars from the movie were the guest for the evening.

Dharmendra met his co-stars Vijju Khotte and Asrani after 35 years on the sets of Chhotte Ustad.
Ramesh Sippy also accompanied the trio on the sets.

The evening became memorable when the stars from the film came on the sets wearing the same attire which they wore in the film. The contestants and maestros were overwhelmed to be with the legends of the film.

All the characters- Jai, Veeru, Thakur... were portrayed by Chhotte Ustaads. Anchors Omi dressed as Gabbar and Aabhas as Sambha paid a tribute to Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster.

The 74 years old got wistful on seeing the contestants performing on his hit songs. Shamantan and Rose sang ‘Mehbooba O Mehbooba’, Mair sang ‘Koi Haseena Jab’, Akanksha sang ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and Jhappi Jodi Moon and Rishab sang ‘Yeh Dosti’ from the movie which reminded him the places and time spent during the shooting.

Dharmendra got emotional when Rishab and Moon sang ‘Yeh Dosti’ and their performance forced him to go on the stage and perform with them. But he couldn’t control his excitement when contestants Shahid and Satinder performed on ‘Main Jat Yamla’ from the movie ‘Pratigya.’ He even got on the stage and performed some of his trade mark dance steps.

Bhanu and Ahsan sang ‘Saara Zamana’ that was superb and a magnificent performance but maestros felt that the required feel of the song was missing.

Dharmendra also revealed that he met Sonu Nigaam for the first time on the sets of ‘Betaab’ where he played the role of young Sunny Deol.

As it was not an elimination episode, everyone enjoyed and had fun on the sets of Chhotte Ustad.
