Indian Idol 5 finalists have rehearsed many times for their today’s performance as they have to prove their singing talent in front of the legendary singer Usha Uttam.

Contestants are nervous but also joyous.

Usha Uttam can sing in many different languages. Therefore, she did jugal bandi by singing a Punjabi track with Rakesh, Gujrati track with Bhoomi and a Telugu track with Sreeram.

Punjab ki shaan Rakesh sang an amazing romantic and soothing song ‘Sawariya’ from the movie ‘Sawariya’. His voice suited the song. The best part of his singing is that he makes the song sound so simple and subtle which is a good for a professional singer. After his soft performance he sang ‘Kaali Teri Gutt’ with Usha Uttam in full rocking style. His voice has range with dynamics.

After Rakesh’s chakk de fatte performance of the evening, Sreeram sang ‘Tere Bina’ from ‘Guru’. His performance was full of dedication and passion. The feel of the song was maintained throughout his singing. Usha Uttam also said that his voice has the quality of becoming a playback singer. After his dedicated performance, Sreeram sang a Telugu song ‘Dhin Chakk Dhinin with Usha Ji.

Bhoomi rocked the stage with her 40000 watts performance on an Arabic song ‘Maiyya Maiyya’ from ‘Guru.’ Bhoomi’s performance was electrifying. She proved that she is the real new age singer. Her attitude throughout her performance was great and outstanding. She also sang a Gujrati song ‘Pankhuriya’ with Usha Uttam. It was again a nice and a subtle performance.

The first tree plantation for the ‘Go Green’ campaign was done by the finalists.

They even got the chance to visit Yash Raj Studios and they learnt some techniques of recording.

All the performances were outstanding, as the contestants are heading towards the grand finale they are getting better and better.
