The students of Whistling Woods International were in for a lovely surprise when they were told that Film Industry legend, B R Chopra would be interacting with them about his experiences in the entertainment business on his 93rd birthday. Mr. Chopra was joined at the institute by his son, renowned filmmaker Mr. Ravi Chopra and other members of his family. He planted a tree at Whistling Woods to symbolize the knowledge and wisdom he was about to impart to the students.

The students were shown scenes from a number of his films which included clips from his songless thriller ‘Kanoon’, his ground breaking court-drama ‘Insaf Ka Tarazu’, the black and white classic ‘Naya Daur’ and his mega-serial ‘Mahabharat’. The other films directed by him include ‘Nikaah’, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, ‘Humraaz’ and ‘Gumraah’. For his achievement in film, Mr. Chopra was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1998. The WWI students presented him with a book on Buddha and a shawl and in return Mr. Chopra presented them a signed copy of a series of books on The Mahabharat.
